We've been waiting to see the 2017 Mazda CX-9 for quite some time now. With the exception of the Mazda5, it's the only model in the brand's retinue that hasn't gotten its upgrade to the automaker's KODO Design Language, and it was well worth the wait. The gen-two niner looks so fly, it might require FAA certification.

Before we're accused of undue hyperbole, we'll back it up. Yes, the 2017 CX-9 is a looker in its fresh KODO suit. Yet, there's quite a bit under those gleaming sweeps and swoops that impress us, too. The mainstay mill is a SKYACTIV-G 2.5L turbocharged four-cylinder that makes 250 horsepower. We're still waiting on the gas mileage numbers.
