Mazda’s commitment to excellence extends way beyond the road. Recently, the automaker announced plans to donate over $5.4 million to charities nationwide in 2017.

Following the success of the 2016 Mazda Drive for Good® event, the automaker has raised money and pledged more than 67,500 hours of charitable service for the year as a result of their customer test drive campaign.

More than $18 million and almost 263,000 hours of charitable service has been donated since the launch of Mazda Drive for Good® in 2012—much more than initially anticipated at its inception.

“Being an active member in the community is an important aspect of who we are as a company and what the Mazda Drive for Good program stands for. Because of this, we are proud to not only support our national and local charity partners through donations, but to also provide extra hands to the local organizations that make a difference in their community each and every day,” according to Masahiro Moro of Mazda North America.

Organizations Mazda has partnered with over the years include American Red Cross, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and the American Heart Association, and the automaker is continuously seeking new ventures to impact local communities across the country.
